My Story

I am Andrea, a thriving adult with ADHD, offering mentorship and wellness/lifestyle-based coaching.

My goal is to empower adult professionals and creatives with Attention Deficit Disorder to make positive changes in their lives.

I am a certified Transformational Nutrition Coach with a deep understanding of the science, psychology, and spirituality of nutrition and effective coaching techniques.

To stay well-informed, I keep up with research studies, books, and a variety of educational materials. I engage with expert podcasts, interviews, informative videos, and training sessions.

My Journey

Diagnosed with ADHD in my early 20s, I initially managed it through lifestyle changes. A book recommended to me about nutrition changed my life. Within 2 months of implementing some nutritional changes I experienced significant improvement.

One day while being interviewed for a retail job, I noticed that I was making eye contact with the interviewer.

Holding eye contact had previously been a challenge.

Life. Changed.

In my 40s, I tried prescribed stimulant medication but found it didn’t help. I decided against trying a different medication. A couple of years later, I discovered that the anti-anxiety medication I was prescribed was far more effective.

Instead of pursuing certification as an "ADHD Coach," I created my own framework to help others achieve similar results. In today's world, anyone can claim to be a coach, but I believe in being transparent about not seeking a formal title. I choose to be known as a "mentor" to assist others while continually honing my skills.

WHO AM I TO TALK ADHD MANAGEMENT?

I understand the complexities of ADHD because I’ve experienced them too.

I know what it’s like to feel like I don’t have my shit together.

Psst…Want to know a secret? No one really has their shit together.

I understand the anxiety of reprimands, job losses, feelings of inadequacy, being trapped in one's thoughts, or fearing failure.

Despite these challenges, here I am, offering coaching services to you. This journey follows years of research, planning, and testing, proving successful for me and others. My intentions are both selfless and self-serving. I have always seen my purpose in life as that of a "helper", with "acts of service" being one of my Love Languages.

Creating a system based on the tools I’ve used was a no-brainer. Thinking up an acronym that summarizes these tools – because everyone likes an acronym – was the hardest part and yet, PRIMED is a natural fit. It’s one of the reasons I know that this program/concept is meant to work. I am priming you for success. You will feel primed.

I want to teach you the tools that helped me. Learn my secrets.

Rapid Random Truths About Me

  • I’m an introvert.

  • I’m great at navigating crowds.

  • I have a good sense of direction but I’m not good at reading maps.

  • I have a dog named Bourbon. When asked about her breed, we simply reply, “She’s a brown dog.” She has her own Instagram account.

  • Water is my happy place – being in or near it. I’d like to live near water or mountains. As a child, bathtime was my favorite.

  • Astrologically, I’m a Pisces moon and sun, Scorpio rising. There are so many ADHD qualities in those. Water signs are already dreamy, romantic, sensitive and can come across as unfocused.

In 2024, I’m going through a bunch of astrological events, I sat with plant medicine, and have begun to experience perimenopause. My life is being blown up. I am the blue morpho butterfly fresh from her cacoon.

Credibility

After years of immersing myself in wellness as a researcher and writer, I pursued certification as a health coach, earning the title of "Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach" (CTNC). Initially, I sought the certification to add credibility to my writing. I felt people would take my writing more seriously if I had letters beside my name. At the time, I didn’t think I wanted to coach.

However, I came to realize that what truly matters is the quality of the content, practical experience, research, impact on lives, and the establishment of credibility. While additional certifications may be pursued, I now understand that letters after a name do not define expertise.

It’s important to remember that not all doctors or self-proclaimed "experts" are always right. You can’t believe everything you see on the internet. “Influencers” are often wrong, misguided, uninformed, and they misinterpret.

We all have unique insights into our bodies, but we also require support and guidance. Access to reliable information helps us make intuitive decisions. Sometimes, all we need is someone to validate our instincts and to hold us accountable.

I believe in a mutual learning process with my clients, as we exchange knowledge and insights, the same way that I often share knowledge, concepts, book titles, and more with those I turn to for help.

Having successfully managed my ADHD symptoms, I am here to assist you in managing yours.
